Recurring Appointments Now Available

With Accudemia v7.0 we have incredibly simplified the process of making appointments. First, we have changed the flow from an open-search approach to a step by step wizard. Second, we have simplified the number of options displayed at the same time to reduce the complexity of the screen. Now, we are launching one of the features that was missing for this process and that's the ability to schedule recurring appointments. In order to create a new appointment, now you need to click on "Setup Recurrence" in the last step. Then select the recurrence pattern and end date. Two common recurrence patterns are offered: weekly on the same day of your appointment or Monday through Friday. Also, you have the option to select Custom and specify which days of the week it should repeat or every how many months. At the bottom, you can select until when it will repeat. Either specifying the number of occurrences or the end date.  Look at the 3-month calendar on the right to pre

Per-Service Options for Waiting Line and Appointments

As requested by our users, we have added new per-service options in Accudemia. The first of the options allows you to keep a waiting line in the center only for certain services. For example, if you offer tutoring but also let students study by themselves, you might want to have a waiting line for those who require a tutor to be available. However those who are going to study without help can sign-in without delay. The second addition is the option to hide a service from the suggestions when creating a new appointment. Some services might not be available for appointments and now you can simplify the new appointment screen by hiding them. To edit those options, go to your center details under Centers & Classrooms and click on the Services tab: Then, when you add or edit a service, you'll see both options available: If you haven't migrated to Accudemia 7.0 yet, you won't see the "Hide suggestions from new appointment screen" option, since that

Sign-In and Appointment Restrictions

We are excited to announce that we are introducing 2 new features today. When the students sign-in or create an appointment, now you can limit what courses and staff members to display. There are 2 types of restrictions available that you can use: The first one is the Student-Staff Member Association . This lets you assign specific staff member to specific students, so you can decide who works with who. The second one is the Service-Subject Area Association . That means that only certain courses will be displayed when a service is selected. For example, certain services like Tutoring might require all the student courses to be displayed, while a Self Study service might require the students to select a different kind of activity only for tracking purposes. The restrictions can be found under Administration > Restrictions in Accudemia 7.0. Once there, select the restriction type you want to edit. Then, 1) Select the Center you want to apply the restriction to. 2) Cli

Creating Appointment Direct Link

Starting today, there's an easier way for staff members to let students create appointment with them. If you are tutor, advisor or any other staff member that uses Accudemia daily to work with students, you can create a link that lets them directly schedule an appointment with you. First, click on your name and select Account: Then, click on “Create Link”: That will take you to a different screen where you can pick your unique link. Select the short name you want to use and click on Save Link to start using it! The link will be completely unique across Accudemia and, when shared, will let your student make an appointment directly with you. Copy your link and share it! If you are an administrator you can also create links for your staff members. Just go to Administration > User Accounts, search the staff member you want to create the link for, and click on the "Appt Link" toolbar button after selecting it. Let us know how it worked for you in th
