Scheduled Import now Available

We just released a new version of the Accudemia Data Exchange (a.k.a. ADX) app, you can now take a look to the new features it has to offer.

The possibility to schedule jobs to run periodically lets you keep all your information in sync. For example, someone from your IT team can export all the updated students information every a couple hours, and then set up ADX to move all that information to Accudemia.

To do so, you just have to view the details of a job and hit Enable schedule:

You will be prompted to enter a Windows account and password, they will be used to execute the job under that account. So you must enter an user with enough access rights to access the source file.

All the options supported by Windows to customize the scheduled job are available. You can also edit the job options in the Windows Control Panel –> Task Scheduler. Either way, you will see this screen to set it up:

Hit “OK” and done!

Enable Email Notifications

One more thing you might want to configure is email notifications. ADX can email you whenever a job runs, so you are aware of whether the information is synchronized or not. Go to Tools > Options, and enter your email address:

And again: Hit “OK” and done!

When is your job going to run the next time?

Did you know? You can create groups from filtered reports

On reports: when you create and filter a report it "automatically" creates a User Group. After creating a report that you need, where you have filtered all of the students with " MATH "(Subject Areas), selected only the " Freshman "(Student Demographic) who have visited the center for " Tutoring "(Service Type) more than 3 times on a Visitor History report you decide you want to save that group and call them " Freshman needing Math Help ." You can do this after you run that report by visiting the User Accounts > Groups section on the left-side navigation panel. Once there simply click on the Report Generated Groups tab, then click on the report you just ran, and click edit .  At this point you can name the group and hit save changes and the group will now be available for you to use as a group filter in future reports.
